Gymnastics Programs

In Australia, Rhythmic Gymnastics is proudly governed by Gymnastics Australia, with support from the RG National Commission and dedicated volunteers who help shape the program. Our pathways are aligned with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), ensuring that Australian gymnasts train and compete to the highest global standards.

The program offers two exciting streams for gymnasts, based on their goals and potential:

  • Australian Levels Program (ALP) – The national pathway where gymnasts build strong foundations, develop beautiful skills, and enjoy a wide range of competitions across Australia.

  • High Performance (HP) – The elite pathway designed for athletes with the talent and dedication to compete at the highest levels, including World Championships and the Olympic Games.

At Kiroi Academy, we’re committed to helping every gymnast find the pathway that’s right for them — whether they’re starting their first class or chasing their dreams on the world stage.

Australian Levels Program (ALP) at Kiroi Academy

At Kiroi Academy, we follow the Australian Levels Program (ALP), which provides a clear pathway for gymnasts of all ages to learn, grow, and compete. With Levels 1 to 10, our gymnasts progress step by step based on their skills, confidence, and individual goals.

Through the ALP, Kiroi Academy athletes have the opportunity to represent the club at exciting events, including the Victorian State Championships, National Clubs Carnival, and the Australian Gymnastics Championships.

Our coaching team works closely with families to ensure every gymnast is placed at the level that best supports their development and love for the sport.

High Performance Program

At Kiroi Academy, our High Performance (HP) Program is designed for exceptionally talented gymnasts who aspire to compete at the highest national and international levels. Entry into this program is by invitation only and follows strict age and skill requirements.

HP gymnasts start at the Development level and progress through Sub-Junior, Pre-Junior, Junior, and Senior stages. From the year they turn 16, Senior gymnasts may qualify for the Australian National Squad and have the opportunity to represent Australia at major events, including the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.

Because the HP pathway is based on national age regulations, gymnasts need to progress at the required pace. If maintaining international standards becomes challenging, our coaches work closely with families to ensure a smooth transition into the Australian Levels Program (ALP), so every gymnast continues to grow in a supportive environment.
