Today we’re excited to introduce one of our wonderful coaches — Alisa Gimgina, whose energy, creativity, and positivity inspire every gymnast she works with. Alisa combines strong technical knowledge with a warm, supportive coaching style, helping athletes grow not only as gymnasts but as confident young individuals. - What inspired you to become a rhythmic gymnastics coach? - I’m passionate about coaching because it allows me to share my love and experience of gymnastics while supporting athletes in their own development. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see their excitement when they achieve new skills and to witness the positive changes in their confidence and ability through consistent effort and encouragement. - How do you select music for routines? - I choose the music based on the gymnast’s personality and movement style. I love finding music that lets them showcase their strengths — and I often involve them in the choice so the routine truly feels like theirs.

- What does a regular coaching day look like for you? - I coach four days a week with the HP group and like to keep each session fresh, fun, and challenging. I plan every training carefully so it stays interesting for both the gymnasts and me. - Can you share a moment from competition that made you especially proud or emotional? - Seeing the kids come off the floor glowing with pride after a great performance — that’s the best feeling! Their excitement and happiness make every moment worthwhile.

-How do you like to spend your time outside the gym? - When I’m not studying or coaching, I love catching up with friends, going to concerts or events, and trying new restaurants. I also really enjoy travelling — whether it’s exploring Australia or heading overseas for a new adventure!
